About Deborah

Deborah Horton is a wife, mom, writer, and professional counselor.  She is originally from Georgia but has lived the last 22 years in Montana, the last best place.  She is mom to three young men ages almost 26, 24 and 21.

Deborah is a published novelist.  Her first novel, Mimosa, was published in May 2013.  She has also published six books of poetry.  She has written on almost every sport and continues to write sports on a freelance basis as well as relationships.

She returned to college after 30 years out of school and obtained her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in 4 1/2 years.  She is currently licensed in Montana as a K-12 School Counselor and as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor candidate.  She works full time as a lead therapist at a residential group home working with teenage girls and also is starting her own private practice Mindful Montana Wellness
